GSC lab report
For GSC, the terpene result is more settled than the THC cutoffs: β-caryophyllene was first in 90% of terpene tests, and the flower set drops from 46% at the 20% cutoff to 7.2% at the 25% cutoff.1
Key findings
- Terpene results for GSC: β-caryophyllene led 90% of tests, while limonene led 6.3%.1
- The THC tail narrowed fast for GSC: the at-or-above share was 46% at 20% total THC, 7.2% at 25% and 0.5% at 30%.1
- 58% of Maryland tests met or exceeded 20% total THC, compared with 22% in Nevada.1
- GSC ranked 38th of 58 by median THC, yet its middle-half span of 4.12 points ranked 8th narrowest of 52 strains.1
- The figure from ILGM (Girl Scout Cookies Extreme), around 30%, was met or exceeded by 0.5% of GSC tests, far above the lab median of 19.72%.1,2
- Menu snapshot: 173 store listings carried GSC flower across 14 of 27 markets, putting it 30th among 58 strains we track.3
How often does GSC clear THC cutoffs?
In 567 flower tests, GSC hit the 20% mark or higher in 46% of results, then dropped to 7.2% for 25% and 0.5% for 30%.1
The state split was wide: Maryland logged 58% at 20% or higher across 232 tests with a median of 20.68%, while Nevada logged 22% across 134 tests and a median of 18.72%.1 Growers, labs and state rules all vary, so that spread is a market signal as well as a plant signal.

Do published THC numbers line up with GSC labs?
Across the five published THC entries we checked, the single figures ran high against GSC's lab median: three of three were above 19.72%, and the highest, around 30% from ILGM (Girl Scout Cookies Extreme), was met or exceeded by 0.5% of tests.1,2
Leafly's 25% single figure was met or exceeded by 7.2% of tests, still a small share.1,4 The published ranges fit more of the lab spread: 18–28% from Weedmaps covered 71%, while 19–25% from DNA Genetics covered 53%.1,5,6
These comparisons are not batch guarantees; a jar's certificate of analysis is the batch document.

Which terpene usually leads in GSC?
GSC's terpene subset was lopsided: β-caryophyllene held the top spot in 90% of 158 tests, leaving limonene with 6.3% and β-myrcene with 3.2% as much smaller leaders.1
Leafly names Caryophyllene as GSC's lead terpene, and the tests agree: β-caryophyllene led 90% of them.1,4
Most of the terpene subset came from Nevada: 134 of 158 tests, so the lead shares mostly reflect flower tested there.1
| Terpene | Tests where it led | Share of tests |
|---|---|---|
| β-caryophyllene | 142 | 90% |
| Limonene | 10 | 6.3% |
| β-myrcene | 5 | 3.2% |
| α-humulene | 1 | 0.6% |

Which strains look chemically closest to GSC?
For GSC, the nearest terpene-profile neighbors were Grease Monkey at 93%, Cheetah Piss at 92% and Animal Face at 90%; at the far end of the 36-strain pool, Durban Poison had the lowest overlap at 32%.1
The close group had β-caryophyllene as its lead terpene, while Durban Poison had terpinolene.1
Method: we start with each strain's median values across eight terpenes, recast them as parts of that strain's eight-terpene total, and measure the shared portion with GSC; identical mixes score 100. The comparison pool requires 30 or more individual-terpene reports per strain, and the result is a lab-chemistry match, not a forecast of how either strain feels.
| Strain | Overlap | Lead terpene (by median) | Tests with terpenes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grease Monkey | 93% | β-caryophyllene | 55 |
| Cheetah Piss | 92% | β-caryophyllene | 142 |
| Animal Face | 90% | β-caryophyllene | 157 |
| Candyland | 88% | β-caryophyllene | 421 |
| Gushers | 87% | β-caryophyllene | 74 |
| Durban Poison (least similar) | 32% | Terpinolene | 236 |

Where does GSC rank for THC?
GSC is a middle-third THC strain in this set: its 19.72% median ranked 38th of 58, between Pineapple Express at 19.80% and Gelato 45 at 19.65%.1 By the 25% cutoff, 7.2% of tests met or exceeded it, putting GSC 39th of 58.1
GSC's results were tighter than usual: from the 17.80% lower quartile to the 21.92% upper quartile, the middle-half width was 4.12 points, the 8th narrowest among 52 strains with at least 30 tests.1
| Rank | Strain | Median THC | Middle half | Tests |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 36th | Blue Dream | 19.96% | 17.62%–22.37% | 2,118 |

How much do labs shift GSC THC results?
For GSC, qualifying labs did not cluster tightly: among 9 labs with 20 or more tests, medians ranged from 17.11% at Lab I (Nevada) to 21.57% at Lab F (Maryland), with a spread of 4.46 points.1
Inside Maryland, the same-name spread remained: 4 qualifying labs posted medians from 18.54% up to 21.57%, separated by 3.03 points.1
A lab median also reflects which growers sent material there, so these gaps do not show that any single lab reads high. We anonymize labs on this page, with Lab A the largest source; the downloadable test file gives the lab names.
| Lab | State | Tests | Median THC | Share at 20% or more |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Lab A | Maryland | 93 | 21.49% | 69% |
| Lab B | Maryland | 67 | 20.57% | 55% |
| Lab C | Nevada | 65 | 18.59% | 12% |
| Lab D | Nevada | 49 | 19.46% | 43% |

Does higher-THC GSC carry more terpenes?
Mostly yes: in 385 GSC tests with both measures, the top THC third, starting at 21.29%, had 1.48% median total terpenes; the bottom third, capped at 18.67%, had 1.31%, leaving a gap of 0.17 points.1
By state, the pattern split: Maryland's lower-THC third had 1.22% median total terpenes versus 1.49% in its higher-THC third, and among states with at least 30 paired tests, 1 of 2 matched the overall direction, with Maryland up and Nevada down.1 Total terpenes are aroma compounds measured by weight; they do not say how GSC will feel to anyone.
| Tests from | Tests | Lowest-THC third | Highest-THC third |
|---|---|---|---|
| All states | 385 | 1.31% | 1.48% |
| Maryland | 227 | 1.22% | 1.49% |
| Nevada | 134 | 1.36% | 1.21% |

Is GSC testing stronger over time?
Across usable years, GSC was essentially flat: median total THC was 21.08% in 2018 on 105 tests and 20.69% in 2023 on 44 tests, for −0.39 points overall.1
With Maryland held constant, the direction was lower: the 2018 median was 21.79%, versus 19.89% in 2020, for −1.90 points.1 The all-state line changes with the mix of states that had enough tests in each year.
We exclude years below 20 tests.
| Year | Tests | Median THC |
|---|---|---|
| 2018 | 105 | 21.08% |
| 2019 | 110 | 20.62% |
| 2020 | 78 | 19.13% |
| 2021 | 137 | 18.79% |
| 2022 | 64 | 19.45% |
| 2023 | 44 | 20.69% |

What forms and names reach labs as GSC?
Under the exact GSC label, flower made up 67% of 920 lab results; concentrates accounted for 20%, with 9.7% as shake and trim and 2.7% as other or unrecorded.1 This site's figures use the flower subset only.
Longer names were common enough to separate: 747 results had extra words around GSC, 45% of all results containing the name, led by “Platinum GSC” (85), “Flower - Platinum GSC” (83) and “GSC Thin Mints #5” (46).1 Because extra wording, cross markers and CBD versions may point to different material, we exclude them under our name-matching rules.
| Form | Results | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Flower | 614 | 67% |
| Concentrates | 186 | 20% |
| Shake and trim | 89 | 9.7% |

How easy and costly is GSC flower on menus?
In the Weedmaps snapshot, GSC flower landed in the middle of the tracked set: with each market searched out to 50 miles from its center, we counted 173 store listings in 14 of 27 markets, ranked 30th of 58 strains on Oct 5, 2026.3
For median exact-eighth prices, GSC was lower than the local comparison in two of two markets: Los Angeles posted $17.50 for GSC versus $25.00 for the typical same-menu strain, and New York posted $32.00 versus $36.08.3
| Market | GSC (priced eighths) | Typical other strain | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Los Angeles, CA | $17.50 (51) | $25.00 (39 strains) | −$7.50 |

What this data cannot tell you
- These 567 flower tests are for products labeled GSC across 10 states during 2014–2024; they do not verify any specific jar, whose certificate of analysis is the batch record.1
- Everything here is a chemistry measurement; none of it can tell you how GSC will feel to you.
