FAQ
GSC (Girl Scout Cookies): frequently asked questions
Short answers to the GSC questions this guide can answer with a cited source or the project’s state-lab dataset.
What is GSC?
GSC is a cannabis hybrid also called Girl Scout Cookies. Leafly attributes it to California breeder Jigga and an OG Kush × F1 Durb cross; Weedmaps gives an OG Kush × breeder-owned F1 Durban Poison account.1,2
What does GSC stand for?
Leafly and Weedmaps use GSC as the short name and list Girl Scout Cookies as the full alternate name; Leafly also lists Cookies.1,2
Is GSC indica or sativa?
A hybrid. Leafly describes it as indica-dominant, Weedmaps as sativa-leaning, and AllBud as 60% indica / 40% sativa, so the guide does not present one split as a measurement.1,2,3
What are GSC’s parents?
The primary account is OG Kush × F1 Durb. Weedmaps and AllBud connect F1 Durb to Durban Poison, but Leafly’s family history records conflicting testimony about that link.1,2,3,4
Is Durban Poison a GSC parent?
It is part of a widely repeated account, but not a settled one. Leafly reports both Jigga’s statement linking F1 Durb to Durban Poison and Mr. Sherbinski’s contrary statement that Durb was not Durban Poison.4
Are Thin Mint and Platinum GSC the same as GSC?
No. Leafly calls them GSC variations, and its Platinum Cookies page describes a next evolution with OG Kush, Durban Poison and an unknown third strain.1,6
How much THC is in GSC?
GSC has a median total THC of 19.72% across 567 state lab tests of GSC flower, with the middle half of results between 17.80% and 21.92%.7 Published platform and seller claims vary.1,2,3
Does GSC have CBD?
309 of the 481 tests that reported CBD found none, and 2 reached 1% or more; 2 reported CBD results reached 1% or more. This describes the reported-CBD fields in the project’s matched lab data, not every product sold under the name.7
What terpenes are in GSC?
Among 158 tests reporting individual terpene values, the median leaders are β-caryophyllene 0.52%, limonene 0.23%, α-humulene 0.18% (percent by weight).7 Leafly lists caryophyllene, myrcene and limonene on its strain page.1,7
What does GSC taste like according to strain pages?
Leafly lists mint, sweet and earthy; Weedmaps lists earthy, lemon and citrus; AllBud adds cherry, lemon, mint, sweet and woody. These are platform flavor descriptions.1,2,3
What effects are reported for GSC?
Leafly’s user-report aggregation lists relaxed, hungry and happy; Weedmaps lists happy, relaxed and euphoric. These are user reports, not clinical findings.1,2
How long does GSC flower?
Leafly’s panel says 9–10 weeks, Weedmaps approximately 62–71 days after an indoor light-cycle switch, and SeedFinder about 67 days. These are source specifications for particular material, not a universal result.1,2,8
